Spring has not yet arrived where I live. How about you? It isn't even quite March yet, so I guess I should be patient awhile longer. But, there is no reason to wait to begin spring organizing in your home! Here is one easy category to organize today to get your spring off to great start:
Cold weather accessories! Now is a perfect time to assess what you have worn or used in the last several months. This can include boots, coats, hats, scarves and gloves. It should be simple to determine what you've been loving, and what didn't make the cut. Letting go of those items that sat on the sideline will free up valuable real estate.
I am in this with you. I just found 2 pair of gloves that I've been holding onto. They never keep my fingers warm, but I've been thinking, "maybe this year will be different!". No more, off to the donation bin they go. What winter items will you let go of today? Please share in the comments!
Do you have any routines in your life? Maybe it is a morning routine, before-bed routine, or cleaning routine that you do every day? Kids thrive on them, but adults need them too. Call them what you like, do you actually carry out these routines? I excel at creating and planning routines for my life. The HAVING routines part is nailed down. I believe 100% that they can save you time and the mental stress of trying to remember what you need to do. The execution is where things can fall apart...the DOING the routine part. This is definitely not the the fun part. Anybody else struggle with this? Luckily, every day is a new chance to start over fresh. So, that is what I am doing this morning!
Write down what you need to do on a piece of paper, keep it in your phone, on your calendar, wherever you will see it and be reminded. What are some of the tasks in your routine? Do you like to write them down? Please share for inspiration!
It's that time of year again...the dreaded tax season. Why must we call it a season, that word should be reserved for happier times, like Christmas! So, are you ready? If not, don't stress, you can get started right now with just a few steps. You've got this!
1. Decide - Choose whether you will meet with a tax preparer, or file your taxes yourself.
2. Schedule - If you will be meeting with someone, now is a great time to schedule that appointment. Or, if filing yourself, set aside time on your calendar.
3. Gather - Grab an empty folder or a large paper clip will do, and begin gathering all of those important papers and receipts to keep them together. Now, when it is time to meet with your tax accountant, or file yourself, you will be ready.
